Hilscher-Clarke Electric Co. has been performing electrical maintenance and upgrades at the Kraft-Heinz facility in Coshocton for more than 15 years. Due to growth in various segments of their business portfolio, they embarked on a 70,000 SF +/- plant expansion. As a result of our long-term relationship andexperience with Kraft-Heinz, HC was selected as the Electrical Contractor & Engineer for this new expansion.
The scope of work included electrical engineering, design and installation for power distribution, lighting, teledata, fire alarm, security, and refrigeration controls. It also included power distribution and controls for the new production equipment. State of the art High Efficiency Led Lighting & Controls were implemented throughout the project. Due to the use of this building as a food production facility, specific and unique construction materials and methods were also implemented throughout.
One of the challenges of this project was to maintain production of the existing facility during the plant expansion project. Scheduling of the work and maintaining good manufacturing processes was accomplished through prompt, detailed and clear communications with the other project contractors and the owner, as interruption to the existing operations was not an option.
This focus on effective communication and job coordination resulted in a successful project that exceeded our customer's expectations.
